At the beginning of February, our Junior Infants were very busy learning all about St. Brigid. The children enjoyed listening to the story of St. Brigid and her growing cloak and learning about the importance of her kindness and generosity.
To celebrate St. Brigid’s Day, we rolled up our sleeves and had a go at making our own St. Brigid’s crosses. It was a little bit tricky at times, but the boys and girls did a brilliant job learning this lovely tradition.
A big thank you to the TY students from the Vocational School who very kindly gave up their day to come down and help us - we couldn’t have done it without them! We really appreciated their help – and we’re very proud of our beautiful crosses.😊
