We had the pleasure of a visit from TY students to our classroom today, to support us in making Saint Brigid’s Crosses in preparation for her feast day on the 1st of February. We were all very busy looking for rushes yesterday. It was a very challenging task because there aren’t too many to be found in the fields of Carrigallen, apparently!!
We are chuffed with our crosses. We will hang our cross up in our house or maybe near the animals to protect our homes and livestock from fire, evil and illness.
