Sensory Garden Approved Under CLÁR Funding
Sensory Garden Approved Under CLÁR Funding
We are delighted to announce that our school’s Sensory Garden project has been formally approved for support under the CLÁR Funding programme. This approval represents an important investment in our community, school environment and in the wellbeing of our pupils and their families.
The provision of a Sensory Garden will provide a calm, inclusive outdoor space designed to support sensory regulation, social interaction, and experiential learning. Through carefully planned planting, textures, pathways, and seating areas, the garden will offer the community opportunities to engage with nature in a structured and supportive setting throughout the year.
Funding approval under CLÁR of €47,293 enables us to progress this project with confidence and to deliver a space that will benefit the entire community of Carrigallen. The garden will be accessible to all and will support a range of educational and wellbeing initiatives, including outdoor learning, quiet reflection, and small-group activities.
We wish to acknowledge the support of the CLÁR programme and all those involved in the application process as well as Leitrim County Council. Further updates will be shared with our school community and the wider community as the project moves into the planning, development and implementation stages.
This initiative reflects our school’s ongoing commitment to the community of Carrigallen.
