This week we celebrated Science Week in school! We spent the week carrying out investigations, making predictions and wondering 🤔🤔
We started off by exploring how we can construct different things using our STEAM kits. We tested different objects in a floating and sinking experiment, created swirling colours in rainbow milk, and watched Skittles form their own vibrant colour patterns (we may have had to do a taste test first!). We also explored reactions by combining oil, water and Alka-Seltzer to make bubbling lava-lamp effects. To learn about hygiene, we began a germ-testing experiment using slices of bread, and we are eagerly waiting for the results.
Science is so much fun and so interesting, and it’s even a job some of the children say they’d like to have in the future – exploring the world around them!
