First Class were very busy becoming scientists during Science Week. We carried out 3 experiments.
We created our own rainbow using skittles!🌈 We tested what would happen when we added both cold and warm water to the skittles. The colours from the skittles spread to create a colourful rainbow. 🌈 We noticed that the warm water made the colours appear much faster.
We also carried out the dancing raisins experiment. We dropped raisins into fizzy water and watched them bob up and down as if they were dancing.💃 The bubbles stuck to the raisins and helped them float, before they fell back down again. 🫧
Finally, we tested several items we had in our classroom to see if they would sink or float. Before testing, we made predictions together as a class. We then tested the items and compared our results. Most of our predictions were correct!!⛵️
