🌳Heritage in Schools🌳

15th Jun 2025

We had a wonderful start to the week with a visit from Ross from Heritage in Schools! We learned all about trees such as oak, spruce and pine. We even discovered that pine cones and spruce cones are cousins!

Ross explained to us how trees are living things. We walked around an oak tree and talked about how it breathes, grows and even has tiny eyes, but they can’t see!

Ross also brought in some fascinating items: a real cuckoo’s nest, deer hair, feathers and various cones. We had great fun guessing what each one was and which animals they came from.

A big thank you to Ross for such an exciting and fun day learning about nature!
