Arsenal take the Cup!

There was great excitement around Arsenal F.C. this week as the Gunners were crowned Premier League champions — and one pupil in particular was absolutely delighted!

To mark the occasion, our principal, Mr Ó’ Ceallaigh, (RELUCTANTLY) wore an Arsenal jersey to school for Arsenal superfan, Caimin Dolan. Needless to say, Caimin arrived to school with a huge smile on his face when the principal greeted him from the school bus. Mr Ó’ Ceallaigh wore the bright yellow jersey for the whole day in school. The school inspector (Heidi Collins) said she was unable to speak to the principal during the subject evaluation as she is a huge Liverpool fan.

The good-natured celebrations sparked plenty of football chat throughout the day. While not everyone in the building may support Arsenal, there was certainly great fun and excitement around the school! It has been confirmed that the principal is NOT an Arsenal fan and his club loyalties remain a closely guarded secret.
